I am a painter/faux finisher and starting a webpage and I’m stupid when it comes to pay per clicks, help?

I advertise in a local magazine and would like to start a webpage and refer to my webpage address in my advertising so that potential customers can come and see pictures of faux finishing and specialty work that I have done. I know nothing about starting a webpage and have just been reading some hosting sights. Now, will I have to pay per click everytime someone comes to my www address to view my photos, or is that for possible “ad links” that I might have on my website? And, do I need to have other links on my website. Can it just be like a photo album? I don’t want to have to pay more than my monthly fee if $5 or $6 for the website. Please help. Thanks

Starting a Painting Business?

Hi I’m an amateur house painter…I enjoy painting and I have painted interiors in my own house and those of friends and relatives. I recently decided to start my own painting business, but I’m not really sure where to start. I’d like to learn a little more about faux finishing in particular. Should I take classes? Also, where can I find more information on what to charge, etc…? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
